I know a large part of your website is based on customer feedback, so I thought I would throw in my two cents!

I just want to say thanks, on behalf of myself and my friend who both ordered hoods from Deft Racing.  The customer service was excellent; Bill was happy to offer a discount on combined shipping since we both ordered hoods.  Also, when we received the hoods and realized there was a mix-up in the colors that we had ordered, it was taken care of immediately and smoothly.  A truck came and picked up the incorrect hoods, which saved a lot of hassle for me, and within days we had the correct ones on the door step.  In addition to the great customer service, the hoods look ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE!  Once again, thank you for the great experience, and I will be recommending you to everyone!

Having just installed the Deft 3000GT vertical doors i must say it was not only a piece of cake but they work amazingly easy. The directions that come with them make it very easy. I only recommend that you soilder the wires instead of using the crimp thingies that come with it, better in the long run.

     Yo..... I received my Scion Xb hood the other day, and yesterday, I installed it.  Perhaps you remember me as the old guy who'd been in the collision business for 30+ years, and was a little concerned about how the CF hood would fit......and, you honestly told me that it wasn't gonna be the EXACT same fit as the OEM hood....( I bet you're thinking this is gonna be a letter of dis-satisfaction, aren't ya...??..)....well, please read on .....     

First,
Let me say how awesome the color weave in the hood is....I dont know exactly what the color on my car is "called" but, I swear, it looks as if the "red" part of the weave is a pefect match!!...I wasn't even going for the color match in particular.  I just wanted the color to be somewhere in the realm of not clashing...I give you guys an A+ for this.. .I'm more than pleased!!     

Secondly,
It took no more time than any other aftermarket hood to make it fit my car in a professional way..( actually, yours was a pretty "easy" one......I've had others in steel from who-knows-where-indonesia-china that took longer to make [sorta] fit......)  A little shift of my hinges, and a teeny bit of  "egging" of the holes had the hood fitting.....PERFECTLY!!..I mean it man, it's way better than I expected....I'll give yas' an "A" on this...hahah!!...

I didn't even need to move my latch...what a nice feeling when i finally got the lines nice, and re-installed the latch, to hear it click closed and secure the first time i tried it......and...and, no slamming!!...I swear, it closes like a frikkin jewlry box!!

Overall, I cant say enough about this most rewarding experience, Bill. After having my OEM hood vandalized by someone who felt the need to see what an old tire would do to it when thrown over a fence onto my car, it didnt start out in a way that I thought would ever make me happy again.   Man, was I wrong!!...This is a perfect (and waaaay cooler) outcome then I was expecting.

If you want to use any part of this E-mail on your site, you have my permission. If I had seen a testimonial from an old body guy that said his hood was awesome, I wouldn't have hesitated one bit...so, maybe this will help others who are thinking about the CF hoods. Have a good venture buddy.

Hi there, went and checked out the hood at the body shop today when I dropped off the eclipse for its repairs. WOW. Just WOW. Amazing quality, and look like great construction (not that I'm well versed on hood building) :) I'm quite satisified. When you ordered you actually didn't specify what year bar you wanted. That said, you asked about beige vs. black. I sent you pictures of an '03 eclipse in Beige (see below) that you decided was good in beige. That's why you got that bar and year.

Normally if someone came to me for an order 10 months old I'd say it was way past the time of exchanging it, but you were in Iraq and I respect that alot, so I made a call to CDC. I explained that you were in Iraq and asked if we could bend the rules for a US soldier and they agreed.

It's also harder because you ordered a custom color (we don't stock beige as it is rarely ordered, so your bar was custom made to order). Assuming the bar is is good shape (we're guessing its just been sitting in the box and is undamaged) you can ship it to us. When it gets here we will ship you a new beige bar for your model year, and we will further pay the shipping costs to get the new one to you. To confirm you need a '99 bar in beige.

We haven't had it installed yet, but the packaging was bubble wrapped to the power of 10.  I was glad to see the hood latch was supplied and installed, and the hood was bolted to a couple 2 x 4's to protect the top edges.
